What stays on your device
- Every idea you score, your answers, saved ideas, journey progress, threads, and settings are stored in your
browser's
localStorageon your device. They are not uploaded to us. - If you pay for Builder, a signed entitlement token (plan level and expiry — no personal details) is stored on your device to unlock features.
- Clearing this site's browser data removes your local ideas and can remove the unlock token.
What we receive if you pay
Checkout runs on Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and email under its own terms — we never see or store your card number. Our server verifies the payment with Stripe and issues the unlock token. Stripe's records (email, amount, dates) are what let us handle cancellations and refunds when you email us.
What we receive if you send us something
If you submit a form (for example a coaching-prompt or journey follow-up with your email, or handing an idea to the Studio), that submission — the fields you typed, such as your email, your idea text, audience, score, and stage — is delivered as an issue in a private GitHub repository that only Apps 4 That controls. For abuse prevention, the delivery also records your IP address and browser user-agent. We use submissions only to respond to you and operate the Service — never to sell or share your idea.
Service providers (processors)
- Vercel — hosts the site and its serverless endpoints; as the host it processes standard request logs (IP address, user-agent).
- Stripe — payment processing for the Builder subscription.
- GitHub — stores form submissions (leads/messages) as issues in a private repository.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces; your IP address is visible to Google when fonts load, as on most websites.
No ads, no tracking cookies, no selling
IdeaSweetSpot contains no advertising, no tracking cookies, and no cross-site trackers. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free page and event counts only. We do not sell your information.
Data retention and deletion
- On-device data: you control it — clear the site's browser data to delete everything local.
- Form submissions: kept in the private GitHub repository so we can follow up; email mthibideau@apps4that.com to have your submissions deleted.
- Payment records: retained by Stripe and in our accounting records as required by tax law.
Children
IdeaSweetSpot is a general-audience business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on the site.
